Day 18 - Traditions

This is the time ofyear when families are upholding decades old traditions and working to createnew ones. It doesn't matter what you celebrate (or don't) ... please share withus your December traditions: how they got started, why you continue them, andwhy they are special to you.

How will you resound?
We don't have any huge traditions as some we have let go as they remind us too much of the family we were, some we have hung on to, like having scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast for Christmas Day breakfast.  We will this year prepare Christmas lunch for ourselves, but will be doing this on Boxing Day as we have been invited to my Step-daughter's for Christmas Day.  We know we can't spend lots of money on presents, but that is okay as spending time on each other and a few carefully purchased gifts mean so much more.  Last year we made Christmas Cards for one another, mostly because we thought it would be fun, but have said we will do the same again this year.  Funny really, the things that have the most meaning are often the things that don't cost you money, only an investment of time.
