Day 2: Vices

Iced Belgian Buns, Greggs

Did you slip back into any old habits that you wish you hadn't? Did you gain any new habits that you wish you would have walked away from? Did you discover the evils of Nutella? 'Fess up ... we won't tell.

This prompt may sound dark and dreary, but we'll be back to our sunshine selves tomorrow. Take today to reflect on a vice (or two or twelve) that you'd like to give up in the new year.

How will you resound?

After the big event of 2010 I lost a considerable amount of weight, over 40lbs to be exact, due mostly to stress, living on my nerves, being incredibly upset and losing my appetite and walking every single day for at least an hour, sometimes twice a day!  When it got to the New Year and the cold weather the walks became less of a daily event and my daily consumption of things not so good for you shot through the roof.  An essential part of my daily diet became these "buns from hell" above, given that wherever I seemed to be it was never far away from the place that sells these things!  So the consequence of this action, because of the "cause and effect" thingy, meant that I put some (not all thankfully) of the weight back on.  I spent a month in 2010 where I gave up all added sugar for a month, as well as salt and sticking to decaffeinated coffee.  I must admit I felt amazing, once I got past the initial headaches, so this will be my New Year's Resolution to spend 30 days without added sugar and salt and drinking decaffeinated coffee to smarten up my diet.  I'll let you know how it goes!
